Questions: website optimization for 2013

What are the latest trends in website optimization, how to "feed the spiders"?

What are the latest trends in website optimization, how to "feed the spiders"?

Search engines are rapidly changing their algorithms with new methods of ranking websites, which dramatically affect optimization and overall online marketing. An example of this is Google, which has recently had major updates (Panda and Penguin algorithms), which meant changes in search engine positioning for some. Despite everything, it still holds true that content is key, so I recommend to all clients that their website contains as much content as possible, which must of course be unique.

What is especially true for online stores, which are increasing in number, and manufacturers are also directly approaching their end consumers (bypassing retailers)?

Seo girlWebsites differ slightly from stores, as the latter have more pages with items compared to the former, which usually do not contain much content. This is especially true for those stores that offer a large number of items, as it is more challenging to ensure that all items are "equipped" with a lot of content and information. This form of maintenance takes a lot of time and resources, so they often choose to optimize by certain categories or departments rather than individual items. Currently, the trend of creating online stores is rapidly expanding and becoming accessible to everyone. Consequently, there are more and more stores. Manufacturers themselves are entering the market, as they have the best opportunities because they have a lot of information about the item and, of course, more resources for advertising due to higher margins.

How is the optimization of an online store in foreign languages or for foreign markets?

An online store needs to be optimized for each market separately, which means that everything needs to be prepared anew each time, except of course for the sales software. Thus, new content needs to be prepared in the language for which we want to optimize and obtain backlinks to our content from sites that are from the target market. For example, for Germany, we prepare a store that is in German with German content, and additionally, we secure links from sites that are well-ranked and related to our content. Above all, it is important that these are German sites.
