Flushing the cache

When a change is not yet visible in your shop, tell the shop to prepare its pages again.

When you need this

To stay fast, the shop keeps ready-made copies of its pages. After you change settings, banners or text, visitors may still see the previous version for a few minutes.

Steps

System › Cache Management

  1. In the menu, open System and choose Cache Management.

  2. At the top right, click Flush Magento Cache.

  3. Wait for the green message, then refresh the shop page in your browser.

Flushing is safe: it does not delete any products, orders or settings. The first visit afterwards may be a little slower while the pages are prepared again.
Do not use the other buttons on this page without talking to us first - some of them slow down the whole shop for a long time.

Common problems

The change is still not visible. Refresh the page with Ctrl + F5 (on a Mac Cmd + Shift + R) so the browser does not show its own old copy. Also check that you saved the change in the right store view (language).
