CSV import: when the columns are not recognised

Tell the module once which column is which; it remembers the layout.

If the module does not recognise the CSV columns of your bank, you tell it once. It remembers the layout.

When this happens

The module recognises the separator (; , tab |), the character set (UTF-8, Windows-1250, ISO-8859-2) and the header by words in Slovenian, Croatian, English and German (for example Booking date, Credit amount, Reference, Partner, Remittance). If it does not understand the header, the screen Which column is which? opens.

What to do

  1. Pick a field for each column: Booking date and Amount (credit) are required. If the statement has no separate credit and debit columns, choose Amount (credit; negative = debit).

  2. Optionally pick the payer, reference, remittance, currency, bank reference and payer IBAN. Leave columns you do not need (balance) at Do not import.

  3. Keep the box Save this layout for next time ticked and press Show preview.

A saved layout also applies to the automatic import from the mailbox and folder: the next statement with the same header needs no mapping.

Amounts and dates

The module understands 1.234,56 and 1,234.56, amounts with a trailing minus and dates as 12.10.2026, 2026-10-12 and 12/10/26. Debits (amount out) are skipped.
