Structured data describes the product to search engines. For the brand, the Brand pages module adds the brand details to the product when the Structured data module (Magelan_RichSnippets) version 1.5 or newer is also installed. The modules are independent: each works without the other.

Setting it up

Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Structured data

  1. With the Luma theme switch on Product JSON-LD. The Hyvä theme has its own product markup, so leave it off there; the Brand pages module adds the brand to the theme markup.

  2. Brand attribute is the code of the attribute with the brand, manufacturer by default.

What Google gets

"brand": {
  "@type": "Brand",
  "name": "Atomic",
  "url": "https://your-store.com/brands/atomic",
  "logo": "https://your-store.com/media/..."
}

The link and logo are only added when the brand has an active page and a logo. Check it with Google’s Rich Results Test on a product page.
