AI translation of products and categories
Translate your whole catalogue into another store view with AI, in the background and from the admin. You choose the fields and the tone.

About the module
What it does.
“I have a thousand products and I need them in another language too.” Retyping the text product by product takes a lot of time.
What it looks like in practice
In the product grid you tick the products, choose Actions › Translate and the target store view. The selection goes into a queue and cron translates a batch every minute while you carry on working. Then you translate the categories from the category grid. If a translation fails, it is retried and then marked with the error so you can see it.
What changes
- Products and categories. You tick products in the product grid, and translate categories in a dedicated grid or with a button on the category.
- Runs in the background. The selection goes into a queue and cron translates a batch every minute; failed items are retried and then marked with the error.
- You pick the fields. You decide which product and category attributes are translated. The URL key is never translated, so your links and redirects stay as they are.
- Your instructions for the translator. You add instructions, for example terminology, tone or words to leave untranslated.
Who it is for
Stores with several store views and a bigger catalogue that want a quick draft of the translations and then review it.
How you set it up
In Catalog › Products tick the products, choose Actions › Translate and the target store view; categories are in Catalog › Translate Categories. The settings (OpenAI key, model, fields, batch size) are in Stores › Configuration › Magelan › AI Translate.
Good to know
- The module uses your own OpenAI key and you pay OpenAI only for what you use.
- A product not yet assigned to the website of the target view is assigned to it first.
- A working cron is required.
- For sensitive terminology we recommend an additional human review of the translations.

How to install it.
You get the module from our private Composer repository; we send you the user name and access key after purchase. We can install it for you, or whoever looks after your store can run these commands in the root of the Magento 2 store (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
