About the module
What it does.
“I should link related products by hand, but I never get round to it.” So the block is empty or full of random items.
What it looks like in practice
A customer looks at a product and under it sees the items other customers bought together with it. Products you linked by hand are on top and the module fills the remaining places. A new product with no pairs yet gets products from its deepest category, so the block is not empty.
What changes
- No manual work. Every night the module counts from the order history which products are bought together, so you do not link products one by one.
- Hand-picked links stay first. Products you linked by hand are always on top; the module only fills the free places up to the limit (6 by default).
- Real pairs. A pair counts once at least the set number of separate orders contain both (2 by default); cancelled orders are ignored.
- A new product is not left bare. Products with no pairs get products from their deepest category; you can switch the fallback off.
Who it is for
Stores with a wider catalogue and some order history, where linking by hand is not realistic.
How you set it up
The settings are in Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Auto Related Products: on/off, the maximum number of products, the fallback, the history window (the last 36 months by default) and the minimum score of a pair. The counting runs at night, at 3:30.
Good to know
- In a store with several views, the data of its own store is used; if it has none yet, it borrows what the other stores have learned.
- Only products the store actually sells are shown.
- It works on Luma and Hyvä themes.
- The module must not run alongside another automatic related-products module.

How to install it.
You get the module from our private Composer repository; we send you the user name and access key after purchase. We can install it for you, or whoever looks after your store can run these commands in the root of the Magento 2 store (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
