About the module

What it does.

"We offer free shipping above a certain amount, but customers do not know it and order just below the line." A threshold nobody sees does not lift the cart.

What it looks like in practice

A shopper adds a product to the cart and sees a message such as 'Add 12 more to get free shipping' with a progress bar. They are only a few euros short, so they add one more product. When they reach the threshold, the bar shows that the order qualifies for free shipping. In listings and on the product page, products that reach the threshold on their own can also carry a '+ free shipping' badge.

What changes

Progress bar. A message such as 'Add 12 more to get free shipping' with a progress bar appears in the cart, the mini cart (the cart drawer on Hyvä) and at checkout.
Message once the goal is reached. When the threshold is met, the customer sees that the order is eligible for free shipping.
Product badge. Products that reach the threshold on their own can show a '+ free shipping' badge under the price, in category listings and on the product page (each switched on separately).
Luma and Hyvä. The display is built for both themes.

Who it is for

For any store that offers free shipping above a certain amount and wants to lift its average order value.

How you set it up

Set the threshold (order total including VAT) under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Free Shipping Settings; 0 switches the feature off.

Good to know

The module only displays free shipping. The shipping itself is still granted by your cart price rule or shipping method, so keep the threshold and the rule in line.
The threshold is the same for the whole store and does not adapt to the delivery country.

Want it in your store?

Our guide centre shows the settings and the everyday work with this module, with real screenshots.

"Add X EUR more for free shipping" barIn the cart, shoppers see how much they still need for free shipping, and more expensive products get a + free shipping badge; you set the threshold yourself.

Installation

How to install it.

We install the module from our repository with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install it for you.

In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

composer config repositories.degriz composer https://www.degriz.net/konfigurator/composer/packages/composer config --auth http-basic.www.degriz.net UPORABNIK DOSTOPNI_KLJUCcomposer require degriznet/m2_freeshippingphp bin/magento module:enable Magelan_Freeshippingphp bin/magento setup:upgradephp bin/magento setup:di:compilephp bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy -fphp bin/magento cache:flush

Setup

In the admin open Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Free Shipping Settings.

Enter the free shipping value (order total including VAT). 0 switches the feature off.
Optionally turn on the badge in category listings and on the product page.
Check that the threshold matches the free shipping rule in the cart, then save and clear the cache.

Where do I get the user name and the access key?

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.

Lost the key? Write to us and we will issue a new one; the old one stops working. [email protected]

Admin menus and settings follow the common layout: all settings are in one Magelan tab.
