The online store Glavca.si has been closely connected with the company DEGRIZ d.o.o. from the very beginning, and as practice shows, in certain cases, curiosity, ambition, a lot of persistence, and some boldness can lead to interesting and business ideas. Every company always relies on people who, with their broad view of the current business happenings, can make the right decisions at crucial moments. Fortunately, in our case, we can also talk about the solid friendship of all of us who started building the idea of the online store Glavca.si and also all those who work in the business today. As a result of trust and our joint work, the initial idea of the online store Glavca.si soon outgrew the idea itself.
February 2010 was crucial for the start of my personal business journey, which began back then with the company DEGRIZ d.o.o. As someone with a completed degree that has no connection to online sales or any other form of sales, and as someone who had no prior experience with entrepreneurship, I decided to attend a lecture on How to create a website that sells, and it didn't take much convincing for me to be utterly fascinated by online sales and the potential of such a business model. The scope and possibilities that such a business offers were simply fascinating to me. The entire lecture was prepared by the company DEGRIZ, which, based on its many years of experience, presented various approaches to online sales and very convincing results of its work, in pictures and numbers. The enthusiasm lasted for some time, and it took a little more than 6 months for the idea of our own online store to slowly form, which, with the help of 2 friends and later business partners, went from idea to December 5, 2011, when the online store Glavca.si saw the light of day. Of course, the question already arose back then: "who should create the online store and at what cost"? Naturally, we approached the research and selection of the company to whom we would entrust the realization of our idea very carefully and thoughtfully. Ultimately, we also came to the company DEGRIZ, which convinced us with its comprehensive approach to creating online stores and its subsequent support in sales. We were convinced by their motto: "creating websites that sell". Like many new entrepreneurs, we also started through an afternoon sole proprietorship and strived to succeed in the rapidly growing online market in Slovenia.
Curiosity, diligence, self-initiative, and the desire for a successful company did not give us peace, and despite modest beginnings, we persevered, learned, and built on our idea. Soon we received an offer for the first online project, where we also participated as a contractual partner. Now we believe that it is no coincidence that the company DEGRIZ was also involved in this project. As a result of our successful joint work, a new company, IRON d.o.o., was born in October 2011, which stepped onto the entrepreneurial path with additional reinforcements, more experience, and a wealth of very ambitious projects that were just waiting for us.
Soon after, things began to unfold at a dizzying speed, and as a result, we can boast a nice number of online sales sites, online stores, and our completely own work philosophy, which we build on day by day and firmly believe in.
Considering the entrepreneurial journey that has been traveled so far, it must be acknowledged that it is not always easy, and it requires a lot of courage, persistence, and a great deal of curiosity to grow a company from a single idea to what it is now. Despite many sacrifices and challenges that arise on the path of every entrepreneur, I can confidently say for all partners in our company: "that it is definitely worth it, as there is nothing more beautiful than seeing how a single idea can grow into an ambitious company that can do well even in tough times like now".
