About the module

What it does.

"Since September we have to show customers the EU notice on the legal guarantee, and I do not know where to put it or in which language." Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 has required it since 27 September 2026 from every trader who sells goods to consumers in the EU.

What it looks like in practice

We install the module and the notice is already in place: the footer carries a button, "Your rights under the legal guarantee". A customer clicks it and the official notice opens in a dialog, in the language of the store view, with a link to the PDF. The same notice is on the product page, in the cart and right above the Place Order button. The order confirmation arrives with the PDF notice attached, so the customer keeps a copy.

What changes

The official notice, unchanged. The official PDF and picture come in all 24 official EU languages; the module picks the language of the store view and falls back to English where no official version exists.
You decide where it shows. Footer, header, product page, cart and checkout are separate switches; the notice is a button, a link or the picture, and a widget places it on any content page.
Attached to the order confirmation. The official PDF and the GARAN labels of the ordered products are attached to the order e-mail.
GARAN label and commercial guarantee. On a product you enter the duration, brand and model and the module draws the label. Products with variants show one label per variant guarantee. A separate field holds a guarantee of the shop or the producer with a statement and a link to its conditions.
Goods and consumers only. Downloads, services and gift cards are left out by default, and you can exclude customer groups (businesses).

Who it is for

For every online shop that sells goods to consumers in the EU and does not want to build the notice itself. A shop that sells only to businesses is outside these rules.

How you set it up

Settings are in the admin under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › EU Guarantees, and each can be set per store view. The GARAN and commercial guarantee fields are on the product (Catalog › Products › a product › EU guarantees), and the widget is under Content › Widgets. It works on the Luma and Hyvä themes.

Good to know

The module is switched on right after installation for the footer, product page, cart, checkout and e-mail.
The module is a technical aid and not legal advice: what has to be shown, and for which goods, follows from the law and your own legal assessment.
The GARAN label is the producer's statement: it shows only for a product with the three fields filled in and a free guarantee for the whole product longer than two years.
At checkout it works on the Luma checkout (also through Hyvä's Luma checkout fallback) and Swissup Firecheckout; we have no dedicated support for the stand-alone Hyvä Checkout module.
It does not print the notice on invoices or packing slips.

Installation

How to install it.

We install the module from our repository with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install it for you.

In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

Setup

In the admin open Stores › Configuration › Magelan › EU Guarantees.

Check that General › Enabled is set to Yes. After installation the notice is already on for the footer, product page, cart, checkout and e-mail.
In the Legal guarantee notice group choose the language and the form (button, link or picture) and, if needed, enter the button text approved by your legal adviser.
If you also sell to businesses, select their customer groups under Hide for customer groups.
For products with a durability guarantee open Catalog › Products › a product › EU guarantees and enter the duration, brand and model from the producer's declaration. The fields can also be imported in the product CSV import.
Open a product page, the cart and the checkout and check how it looks; place a test order and check the attachments in the confirmation.

Where do I get the user name and the access key?

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.

The notice opens by default with a Your rights under the legal guarantee button in a dialog, so the customer stays in the shop. On a phone the button opens a PDF that can be zoomed.
The Commission's official PDF in all 24 languages is shipped and linked.
New places: the header and the checkout right above the Place Order button (Luma, Hyvä Luma Checkout and Firecheckout), and a widget for any page, block or Page Builder row.
The confirmation e-mail carries the official notice PDF and the GARAN labels, so the customer gets the notice on a durable medium. It also works on resending from the admin.
Commercial guarantees without GARAN: two product fields (per store view) for a guarantee and a link to its conditions, shown on the product page and in the e-mail.
Products with variants: a variant's own guarantee wins, otherwise the parent's applies.
Brand and model can come from existing attributes. Values that are too long are refused on save instead of being cut.
Customer groups to leave out (businesses), and non-physical products such as downloads, services and gift cards left out.
