About the module

What it does.

"A customer adds a product and leaves, though an accessory would have suited them." The moment the product lands in the cart is the best time to make a suggestion.

What it looks like in practice

A customer adds a coffee machine to the cart and opens the mini cart (the cart drawer on Hyvä). Below it they see the products you set as cross-sells for the machine, for example filters or coffee. They click "Add to Cart" and the product is added, while the customer stays on the page they were on.

What changes

Suggestions from your cross-sells. The products you set as cross-sells on a product are shown, up to four per product in the cart.
Useful suggestions only. The product must be in stock, a simple product, and not already in the cart.
One-click add. The 'Add to Cart' button adds the product and returns the customer to the page they were on.
Your own block title. You set the title above the suggestions yourself.
Luma and Hyvä. On Luma the block sits in the mini cart, on Hyvä in the cart drawer.

Who it is for

For stores that already have cross-sell products set on their products (accessories, consumables, add-ons) and want to show them at the right moment.

How you set it up

Set the suggestions on each product under Catalog › Products, section Related Products, Up-Sells, and Cross-Sells. Set the block title under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Minicross. The block refreshes whenever the cart changes.

Good to know

Suggestions are only the products you pick by hand (cross-sells); the module does not choose products automatically.
It also works in slide-in carts that use Magento's mini cart template (for example Swissup AjaxPro).

Installation

How to install it.

We install the module from our repository with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install it for you.

In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

Setup

In the admin open Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Minicross.

Enter the block title (if left empty, the default translated title is used).
On the products under Catalog › Products choose the cross-sell products.
Save, clear the cache and test: add a product to the cart and open the mini cart.

Where do I get the user name and the access key?

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
