About the module

What it does.

"We have a special agreement with this customer, but the web shop does not know about it." When terms are not written where the customer orders, agreements get forgotten or denied later.

What it looks like in practice

You agree a special payment term and delivery with a wholesale customer. In their customer record in the admin you type the text of these terms. When the customer logs in, they see the terms on the My Account page, and at checkout they appear below the standard terms under the heading "Your Specific Terms".

What changes

Terms on the customer. The customer record gets a text editor field where you enter their special terms.
Visible in the account. A logged-in customer sees them in a "Custom Terms & Conditions" block on My Account; other customers do not see that block.
Visible at checkout. Below every Magento terms and conditions text the customer confirms at checkout, a section with their special terms is added.
No effect on other customers. A customer without entered terms sees only the standard text.

Who it is for

For B2B and wholesale stores with contract customers who have different agreements (payment term, minimum quantity, delivery). It combines well with the Payment on account with terms module.

How you set it up

You enter the special terms on the customer in the admin: Customers › All Customers › (customer) › Account Information › Custom Terms and Conditions. The module has no settings screen of its own. The terms are shown on the My Account page, and at checkout below the standard Magento terms (which you must switch on in Stores › Configuration › Sales › Checkout and add under Stores › Terms and Conditions). The checkout display is built for the standard (Luma) checkout.

Good to know

The module only displays the text; it does not change prices, payment methods or payment deadlines. The agreement must also be set up elsewhere.
The checkout display works when Magento terms and conditions are switched on and at least one active condition exists; the special terms are added below each one.
The checkout display is built for the standard Magento checkout; we do not guarantee it with other checkouts.
The text is displayed without extra sanitising (only you edit it in the admin), so do not paste text from unknown sources into it.
The terms stay stored in the customer record; the customer's confirmation at checkout does not save them separately as proof.

Installation

How to install it.

We install the module from our repository with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install it for you.

In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

Setup

You enter the terms on each customer in the admin under Customers › All Customers.

Open the customer record and in the Account Information tab find the Custom Terms and Conditions field.
Enter the text of the special terms and save the customer.
For the checkout display, switch on terms and conditions in Stores › Configuration › Sales › Checkout and add a condition under Stores › Terms and Conditions.
Log in as that customer and check the My Account page and checkout.

Where do I get the user name and the access key?

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
