About the module
What it does.
"We should link all the important words by hand on every page, but there is never time." Without internal links Google has a harder time seeing which pages matter, and visitors have a harder time finding related content.
What it looks like in practice
We decide that the phrase "web shop development" links to your service page. Whenever that phrase appears in a category description, a product description or a content page, it turns into a link by itself. You edit nothing, and the text in the editor stays plain.
What changes
- Links are inserted by themselves. A keyword in the content becomes a link to the chosen page. The stored text is not changed; the link is added when the page is displayed.
- Where they are inserted. In content pages, content blocks, category descriptions and short and full product descriptions; each of these can be switched off.
- Control over the number. At most 3 links per page by default, and for each word we can set the maximum replacements and whether the first or the last occurrence is linked.
- Careful with your text. It does not touch existing links, tags or first-level headings, does not link to the page being viewed, and matches whole words only.
- By store view and time. Each link applies to all store views or selected ones, optionally with a start and end date, its own title, link target and nofollow.
Who it is for
For stores with a lot of content (category descriptions, guides, CMS blog) that want better internal linking without editing every page one by one. Because the link list is our job, it suits customers who already have this service with us.
How you set it up
The module has no admin screen. We enter the list of keywords and links for you; you only send us the words and the pages they should lead to. General settings (where links are inserted, maximum links per page, excluded elements) we set for you if needed.
Good to know
- The module has no admin interface; we enter the list of links. Without it the module does nothing.
- It works on pages that print text in the standard way; content that a theme or another module outputs differently may be skipped.
- Links are inserted each time the page is displayed; they are not written into the stored content.
- A link is never inserted into a first-level heading or into an existing link.
- The module does not suggest keywords; we prepare the list together with you.

Installation
How to install it.
We install the module from our repository with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install it for you.
In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

The module has no settings screen in the admin. We enter the links and general settings for you; we do this at installation.
- Send us the list of keywords and the pages they should lead to (separately for individual store views if needed).
- We enter the links and, if needed, set where they are inserted (pages, blocks, categories, products) and the maximum number of links per page.
- We flush the cache and check a few pages together.
Where do I get the user name and the access key?
After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
