Discount ladder display
Customers see how many more items they need for the next discount step, in the cart, mini cart and on the product page. Quantity discounts start to sell.

About the module
What it does.
"We have quantity discounts, but nobody takes advantage of them." A discount sells only if the customer sees it before leaving the cart.
What it looks like in practice
A customer adds three items and the cart says "Add 2 more items for a 10 % discount", with a track of all the steps and the saving so far. They add two more and the track shows the next step. The same appears in the mini cart and on the product page.
What changes
- Customers see the progress. A message (e.g. 'Add 2 more items for a 10 % discount'), a track with every step and the saving so far.
- Steps are read from your rules. By default the steps are read from your cart price rules (by quantity of qualifying items, separately per customer group); if the rules are in a shape that cannot be read reliably, you enter the steps by hand.
- Display as you choose. In the cart and mini cart and on the product page, optionally for selected customer groups only.
- Lowest price. Optionally the lowest price per piece at the top step is printed under the price.
- Luma and Hyvä. The display is built for both themes.
Who it is for
For stores that run quantity discounts through cart price rules, especially B2B and wholesale. The Customer-specific pricing module complements it nicely.
How you set it up
In the admin under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Discount Ladder you choose where the display appears and, if needed, enter the steps by hand. The module is on everywhere by default and shows nothing where there are no matching rules.
Good to know
- The module displays the ladder, but the discount itself is still decided by the cart price rule, so the step shown and the rule must agree. The command
bin/magento magelan:discount-ladder:checkconfirms that what is shown matches what the cart charges. - Steps are by quantity of items, not by cart value.
- Where the display appears in product lists depends on the theme template.

How to install it.
We install the module from our repository with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install it for you.
In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

In the admin open Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Discount Ladder.
- Leave the source of the steps on from cart price rules or enter the steps by hand (quantity and percent).
- If needed set the product attribute the ladder counts and the customer groups.
- Choose where the ladder is shown (cart, product page), save and clear the cache.
- Run
bin/magento magelan:discount-ladder:checkand confirm the display matches the calculation.
On a Hyvä theme also run bin/magento hyva:config:generate after installation and rebuild the theme CSS.
Where do I get the user name and the access key?
After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
