GPSR: missing data report

How to find products without a manufacturer, without an EU responsible person, without required warnings, with a category conflict or without translated warnings, and how to fix them in bulk.

The report tells you which products are not complete yet. Products without a manufacturer do not show the Safety information section at all, so the report is the quickest way through the whole catalogue.

1. The cards at the top

Catalog › GPSR › Missing data

The report cards: without a manufacturer, without an EU responsible person, without warnings, category conflicts and without translated warnings
Red cards are urgent (manufacturer, responsible person), yellow ones are warnings.
  • Without a manufacturer: the product got no manufacturer, neither from the product nor from an assignment.
  • Without an EU responsible person: the manufacturer is outside the EU and there is no responsible person.
  • Without warnings: the assignment has Products must have warnings switched on, and the product has none.
  • Category conflicts: the product is in two categories with different assignments.
  • Without translated warnings: a store view in another language shows only the default text.

2. The list and fixes

Under the cards is the list of products with filters (issue, category, brand) and a link to edit the product. For several products at once, select them and choose an action:

  • Assign manufacturer or Assign EU responsible person: the record is set on the selected products,
  • Mark as "GPSR not required": for example for services or gift cards.

For whole brands or categories it is better to add an assignment (Catalog › GPSR › Assignments), since new products inherit it too.

3. On the product

The GPSR group of a product without a manufacturer with a red warning and the Add an assignment link
The product has no manufacturer: a warning above the fields and an overview without a source.

4. When the report refreshes

The report reads the GPSR index (System › Index Management). It refreshes by itself when a product, a record or an assignment is saved; in large catalogues it is recalculated in the background by cron. Recalculate refreshes it now, and Export CSV downloads all the data (also for marketplaces and feeds).
