About the module

What it does.

"I would like to write a longer guide for a category for Google, but shoppers must not hit a wall of text before they see the products." Text above the products pushes them down.

What it looks like in practice

For a category you write a buying guide with headings, lists and images. A shopper who lands on the category sees the products first. Anyone who wants more information scrolls to the end of the page and reads the guide. The usual short intro stays on top, and the long text sits below the products and the pagination.

What changes

Products stay on top. The long text appears at the end of the category page, below the products and the pagination.
A regular editor. Headings, lists, links and images. Page Builder is deliberately switched off for this field so the output stays clean HTML.
Different text per store. You can enter your own text for each language or store view.
The short intro stays on top. The regular category description does not change.

Who it is for

For stores that care about SEO and have categories that need an explanation or a buying guide. It goes well with the FAQ schema for categories module.

How you set it up

In the admin open Catalog › Categories; in the "Content" section you will find the field "Long Description (below the product list)". It works on the Luma and Hyvä themes; on Hyvä the text is styled to match the theme.

Good to know

The text appears on every page of the category pagination, not only on the first.

Installation

How to install it.

We deliver the module from our own repository, installed with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install and set it up for you.

In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

Where do I get the user name and the access key?

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
