Loyalty points
Customers earn points on every paid order and spend them as a discount at checkout. One more reason to come back.

About the module
What it does.
"A customer buys once and I never see them again." Winning new customers costs more than bringing back existing ones, yet you have no reason to offer them to come again.
What it looks like in practice
A customer places an order and pays. Once the invoice is paid, the module awards points at the rate you set. On the next purchase they spend them as a discount at checkout, within the limits you defined: the point value, the minimum balance and the largest share of the order. If points have built up and are about to expire, an e-mail can warn them.
What changes
- Points for paid orders. You set the return rate in percent, the calculation base (net or gross) and the customer groups that earn. Points are awarded once the invoice is paid.
- Redemption at checkout. The customer spends points as a discount; you set the point value, the minimum balance and the largest share of the order that points may cover.
- Points expire. You set the validity period yourself, and an e-mail can warn the customer before expiry.
- More ways to earn. Points for registering, a product review, a newsletter signup, a birthday and referring a friend; you switch each on separately.
Who it is for
For stores with repeat purchases: cosmetics, food, fashion, consumables. That is where loyalty pays off most. If you also want to reward reviews and referrals, switch on the extra ways to earn.
How you set it up
Settings are under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Loyalty points. The point movements, manual adding or removing and the outstanding liability are under Marketing › Loyalty points. Before launch set the rate, base, customer groups and validity period, and agree the treatment of the discount and VAT with your accountant.
Good to know
- Earning points is off by default.
- The 'My points' page in the customer account is ready for the Hyvä theme; on Luma that page has no template yet, while the checkout works.
- Points for returned and cancelled orders are taken back as long as they are not yet spent.
- Hyvä Checkout is not supported.

How to install it.
We deliver the module from our own repository, installed with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install and set it up for you.
In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

Where do I get the user name and the access key?
After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
