Product inquiry form
On the product page a shopper asks about price or availability, and you answer from the admin. Answered questions can be shown to other shoppers.

About the module
What it does.
"A shopper wants to know something about a product but has nowhere to write, so they leave." With made-to-order, B2B and higher-priced items, an unanswered question too often means a lost sale.
What it looks like in practice
A company is looking at a pricier product and wants to know whether you can supply a larger quantity. On the product page they fill in the form: name, e-mail, phone and message. They get a confirmation, and you see the question in the list in the admin. You answer by e-mail, and you can also mark the answer for display on the product page so the next shoppers see it.
What changes
- A form on the product page. The customer enters their name, e-mail, phone and a message.
- E-mail confirmation. The customer receives a confirmation; you can also get a copy of the message if you wish.
- Answer from the admin. Inquiries are in a list, and you send the answer to the customer by e-mail.
- Public questions and answers. Answered questions that you mark for display can be shown on the product page, which cuts down repeated questions.
Who it is for
For stores with made-to-order, B2B or higher-priced products, where shoppers like to ask before they buy. You can complement it with the FAQ schema for categories module for general questions.
How you set it up
Inquiries are under Marketing › Product Question › Questions. Settings (display on, sender e-mail, number of questions shown, copy to the administrator) are under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Product question. It works on the Luma and Hyvä themes and is compatible with Swissup GDPR consents.
Good to know
- The form appears on the product page only after you switch on "Question Display" in the settings; it is off by default.
- The answer goes to the customer only if you tick sending the e-mail while answering, and a copy of the message comes to you only if you switch that on in the settings.
- The form fields are fixed (name, e-mail and message required, phone optional). The module has no spam protection (captcha).

How to install it.
We deliver the module from our own repository, installed with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install and set it up for you.
In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

Where do I get the user name and the access key?
After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
