Back-in-stock notification

About the module

What it does.

"The product is sold out, the customer goes elsewhere, and I do not even know someone was looking for it." Demand you do not record is a lost sale.

What it looks like in practice

A shopper picks black running shoes in their size and sees they are sold out. Below the product there is a form: they enter their e-mail, tick the consent box and submit. When the shoes arrive again, the module sends a message with a link to the product at its next check. The shopper clicks and orders, and you see every subscription in one list in the admin.

What changes

By variant. On a configurable product the form follows the selected combination (for example colour and size) and appears only when that combination is sold out.
Customer consent. An unticked consent box that the server also checks; the consent wording is saved with the subscription.
Automatic e-mail. Waiting subscriptions are checked every 15 minutes; each subscriber gets one message with a link to the product and a one-click unsubscribe.
List of subscriptions. In the admin you see all subscriptions in one place and so know what shoppers are looking for.

Who it is for

For any store where products are sometimes sold out: fashion with sizes, seasonal ranges, limited batches. It is complemented by the module that moves sold-out products to the end of the list.

How you set it up

Under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Back in stock notification you switch the module on and choose the privacy policy page and the e-mail template. You find the list of subscriptions under Catalog › Back in stock subscriptions.

Good to know

If a customer is subscribed to several variants, they get a separate message for each.
The Magento cron must be running for sending.
The form works on the Luma and Hyvä themes.

Installation

How to install it.

We deliver the module from our own repository, installed with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install and set it up for you.

In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

Where do I get the user name and the access key?

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
