Featured products on the homepage
Your "New arrivals" category fills itself with recently added products, and you show it on the homepage or anywhere else. No manual work.

About the module
What it does.
"I should clean and update the New category every week, and I never get round to it." Stale "new arrivals" on the homepage make the store look as if nothing is happening.
What it looks like in practice
You add a new product. Within the hour it is in the new-arrivals category without you touching anything. A few months later the product is no longer new, and the module removes it from the category overnight. The homepage always shows fresh products, and you never edit that category.
What changes
- Automatic filling. A product counts as new if it was added within the set number of days or has an active "new from" date.
- Adjustable days. You set the window yourself; the default is 90 days.
- No manual work. New products are added every hour, those that fall out are removed at night.
- Per store view. Set the category and the window for each store view separately.
Who it is for
For stores that add products often and want fresh new arrivals on the homepage or in a "New" category. It does not manage featured or best-selling products.
How you set it up
Under Stores › Configuration › Magelan › New Products Category enter the ID of the category to fill and the number of days. The category should be an anchor category showing products. When something changes, the cache for that category and the home page is cleared.
Good to know
- The category must be dedicated to new arrivals: at night the module removes every product that is not new from it, including ones you added by hand.
- The module only fills the category; showing it on the home page (for example a block or product widget) we set up as agreed.
- The Magento cron must be running. Disabled products are assigned but stay hidden until you enable them.
- The module does not manage featured or best-selling products; it fills new arrivals only.

How to install it.
We deliver the module from our own repository, installed with Composer. We send you the user name and access key for the repository after purchase. If you prefer, we install and set it up for you.
In the root of the Magento 2 store run the commands (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.
