Affiliate program: first run in two steps

The affiliate program turns a link and a code for every partner into a commission on real sales. The first run takes a few minutes.

Before you start

the percentage of the order amount (without VAT and shipping) you pay partners,
for personal coupon codes: a cart price rule with the coupon type "Specific Coupon" and "Use Auto Generation" ticked (for example 10 % off).

Open Marketing › Affiliate program › Partners and click Set it up in two steps.
In the first step choose a starting point (5 %, 10 % or 15 %) and whether you approve applications yourself (recommended) or automatically. Under Advanced you can change the minimum payout.
In the second step leave the terms page ticked and click Finish. The page is disabled until a lawyer has checked it.
Open Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Affiliate Program, choose a cart price rule under Partner coupon rule and save.

Try it

Add a partner (Add partner, the e-mail of a customer who has an account), approve them, open a store page with ?ref=code and place a test order. A row in the state "Pending" appears under Commissions.

mage-messages	Tracks error messages and other notifications that are shown to the user, such as the cookie consent message, and various error messages. The message is deleted from the cookie after it is shown to the shopper.
private_content_version	Appends a random, unique number and time to pages with customer content to prevent them from being cached on the server.
section_data_ids	Stores customer-specific information related to shopper-initiated actions such as display wish list, checkout information, etc.
user_allowed_save_cookie, cookie_consent	Stores the user's cookie consent state for the current domain.
X-Magento-Vary	Configuration setting that improves performance when using Varnish static content caching.

_fbp	This cookie is installed by Facebook to store and track visits across websites.
