When we set up the shop, we configure it so that you enter prices including VAT and customers see them including VAT. This article shows where the settings are in case something changes, for example the VAT rate.
VAT rates
Stores › Taxes › Tax Zones and Rates

Open the rate (for example the Slovenian standard rate of 22 %) and enter the new value in Rate Percent. Save.
For the reduced rate (9.5 % in Slovenia), add a rate with Add New Tax Rate and, in Tax Rules, link it to the tax class of the products it applies to.
Calculation and display
Stores › Configuration › Sales › Tax
In the Calculation Settings group, these two settings matter most:

- Catalog Prices - Including Tax: you enter product prices including VAT.
- Shipping Prices - Including Tax: shipping costs are entered including VAT.
In the Price Display Settings group, you choose how customers see prices:

- Display Product Prices In Catalog
- Display Shipping Prices
On a product, VAT is set by the Tax Class field. For a product with the reduced rate, choose the matching class.
Common problems
The price in the cart is different from the price on the product
The display settings for the catalogue and the cart are different (including and excluding tax). In the Shopping Cart Display Settings group, choose the same as for the catalogue.
The order has no VAT
The product has the Tax Class "None", or there is no tax rate for the customer's country. Write to us with the order number.
