A wrongly typed postcode or town is the most common reason a parcel comes back. So at checkout there is a search box above the address fields: the customer starts typing a town or postcode and picks the right post office from the list. The shop then fills in the City and Zip/Postal Code fields by itself.
What the customer sees
In the shipping address, they choose the country. The search box works for Slovenia and Croatia; for other countries it is hidden and the customer types the address as usual.
In the Quick city / postal selection field (the box says Search city or postal code...), they type part of the town name or postcode, for example
Kranor4000.They pick a result. The City and Zip/Postal Code fields fill in by themselves.
The same search box is also shown for the billing address if the customer enters a different one. The other checkout steps do not change.
The list of post offices
The list is built from official sources: all Slovenian and Croatian post offices with their postcode and name. We maintain it; if a customer reports that they cannot find their town (for example a new post office or a renamed one), write to us and we will add it.
Common problems
The customer cannot find their town
Ask them to search by postcode or by the name of the post office that covers their address. If the post office really is new, write to us.
The search box is not shown at checkout
It only appears once Slovenia or Croatia is selected. If one of them is selected and it still does not appear, clear the cache, and write to us if it still does not show.
