Shoe size finder
The shopper enters the length of their foot and at once sees the models that have their size in stock. On the product page the module suggests the size and selects it with one click.

About the module
What it does.
"Customers do not know which size to take, so they order two and return one." With footwear, returns for the wrong size are one of the biggest costs.
What it looks like
Under the header there is a thin strip "Find shoes by your foot size". The shopper enters 165 mm and sees a grid of models that have a fitting size in stock, each marked "Size 27". When they open a model it says "For your measurement (165 mm): size 27" and one click selects the size. If that size is gone in the chosen colour, the module tells them which one is available.
What changes
- Two ways of searching. By products, if you have entered the inside length of the shoe on the sizes, or by a size table (foot from - to = size) that needs no data on the products.
- Only what is in stock. Models with a fitting size in stock, visible in the catalog and on this website, with the price of the customer's group.
- Adults and children. If the table has both sets, the module asks who the shoes are for.
- The size on the product page. A suggested size with a Select button, also when the suggested size is sold out.
- The strip where you want it. On the home page, categories, search and products (not in the cart), or only as a "Find my size" button. The shopper can minimize it and open it again.
- The measurement stays with the shopper. It is kept only in their browser, with a "Forget my measurement" button. Nothing is stored on the server.
- Luma and Hyvä. It follows your theme, works with a keyboard and a screen reader, and the window explains how to measure the foot.
Who it is for
Stores selling footwear, especially for children and sport, where the size is the biggest reason for returns.
How to set it up
In Stores › Configuration › Magelan › Shoe Size Guide choose how the size is found, where the strip appears and which attributes carry the size and the inside length. Without inside measurements use the size table; a starting table can be created by a command from the Paris point formula, but check it against your brands. We can prepare the data for you.
Good to know
- The module works on its own. Together with the Table variants module the size is also selected on the product page from the same measurement.
- A foot measurement is personal data: the module keeps it only in the browser; whether that needs consent depends on the country.
- Stock is checked for the default stock (MSI with several stocks is not covered yet).

How to install it.
You get the module from our private Composer repository; we send you the user name and access key after purchase. We can install it for you, or whoever looks after your store can run these commands in the root of the Magento 2 store (replace UPORABNIK and DOSTOPNI_KLJUC with the user name and access key you received):

After the purchase we send you the access key by e-mail. Keep it safe: for security it is shown only once and we do not keep it in readable form. The user name (your project code) and all the commands, ready to copy, are in your account under My account > Module licences.

Frequently asked questions
Questions we get most often.
Does the module work if my products have no internal shoe measurements entered?
Yes. You choose the mode based on a size chart: in the settings you enter which foot length gets which size. The starting chart can be created by a command from a formula, but check it against your brands.
Do I need the Variants table (OptionTable) module?
No. The finder works on its own. If you have OptionTable, it highlights the row in the size table on the product page for the same measurement.
Does the customer see only shoes that are in stock?
Yes. Models with the matching size in stock are shown, visible in the catalogue and on this website. With several warehouses (MSI), this version checks the default stock.
Where is the foot measurement stored?
Only in the customer's browser. It is not written to the server, and the customer can delete it with the 'Forget my measurement' button. Remembering the measurement is a setting in the administration that you can switch off. Whether consent is needed depends on the country.
Does it support children's sizes?
Yes. If the chart contains rows for adults and children, the module asks who the shoes are for.
Where does the bar appear?
Your choice: home page, categories, search and products (default), all pages, or only the 'Find my size' button on product pages.
Does it work with a Hyvä theme?
Yes, Luma and Hyvä are supported.
