Facebook wants to show users what they like. The selection of content is based on Facebook's algorithm, which can be used to our advantage by applying the following simple tricks.
#1 – Post what your followers like
We often fall into the trap of posting only what we want followers to see. Prepare content that your followers like to the extent that they will gladly share it. Always respond to comments, like them, as this shows them that you appreciate their following, and it also gives them the feeling that there is a real person behind it.
#2 – Post in different ways
Do not constantly repeat the same types of posts (only thoughts for a better day or daily product presentations). Try as many different types of posts as possible – posts that encourage comments, prize games, free e-book downloads, team happenings, sales posts. Regularly monitor what has worked in the past and keep what works.
#3 – Ask a question
Questions are an excellent way to establish dialogue with followers and one of the easiest ways to get a response to posts. There are several types of questions you can ask from your field. Below is an example of what types of questions you can ask.

#4 – Every post should have its purpose
Posting on Facebook just to have something posted makes no sense. Anyone can do that. When preparing your post, always ask yourself what you want to achieve with it (many likes, shares, comments, clicks, downloads, etc.). Each post should contain a call-to-action phrase. Example: Click like if your favorite day is Friday, download for free now.
#5 – Be persistent
Posting occasionally and hoping it will be a hit is not a good tactic. Be persistent and consistent. Facebook will recognize this and reward you. Better to have one post every day than posts only on weekends (or when something is "happening"). Facebook helps you significantly with the Schedule feature, which allows you to prepare posts in advance.

#6 – Choose the right time
The average lifespan of a Facebook post is 2-3 hours (unless it gets a really good response and Facebook shows it for a longer time). Choose a time when your followers are most present on Facebook. Go to the Insights tab and click Posts to see when your followers are most active. Most find that posts between 9-11 AM and 7-10 PM work best (later in summer). Read more studies on posting times here.
#5 – Be current
Followers appreciate authenticity and timeliness. Use current photos (team building of your team, sunset photo, etc.) contributed by all team members. Use videos – be sure to upload them to Facebook and not just a YouTube link for better reach. Videos should be equipped with subtitles (for those who Facebook during work hours J). You will also achieve excellent reach with Facebook live broadcasting (followers get notified).
